Someone once said that buddies in recovery are like people in your lifeboat in the Titanic, as you are surviving something that is life threatening.

It is often helpful to have people in your daily life that understand what you are going through. In restoration it indicates even more. You’re with those who have a common problem and a common solution. You obtain the benefit of others’ experiences and they get the benefit of yours.
