Addiction to heroin and prescription painkillers bedeviled Marc Goldfinger for three decades. Then, in 2004 he was introduced to Suboxone, one brand of the drug buprenorphine, a less-potent opioid used to treat opioid addiction. Not once has he slipped back to the old addiction.
